This piece is a highly simplified version of the credit crisis, and although it does not include other external factors, such as government intervention, it does give you a sense of how we got to where we are. Simply put, this shouldn’t be consumed as a simple statement on the greed of wall street (though this is a component) but the greed and stupidity of the average American consumer.
